A quiet and persistent uprising has begun around the planet. Pervasive in homes, communities and businesses, it is a gentle nudge and at the same time a gigantic push. There are hundreds, no, thousands--no, hundreds of thousands--of women tapping into their personal power who are now ready to unleash their passion and purpose into the world. 

Who are these women?  They are you and me. They are every woman who has a dream and a vision. They are every woman who has decided that she will no longer play it small to be safe and “fit in.’” These women are the heart and backbone of our homes, communities and businesses. These women stand ready to step into their power, poised to be the women they were born to be.

Let’s be Clear: Here is a definition of what Power IS and IS NOT…

Power is not the exertion of force. Instead, Power stands firm and tall like a lighthouse. It shines forth from a consistent and steady place of conviction that is rooted in knowledge and intuition. It illuminates the way for others, and guides them to find their own best path and purpose.

Power is not control. Control of others is not even possible. Truly the only thing over which we have any control at all is our thoughts and the subsequent feelings and actions that derive from them. True power allows others to do as they do and to be who they are, and to accept others whether we agree with them or not.

Power is not making others feel inadequate or “less than” so that you can feel or look better. Power knows that the success or failure of others has little or nothing to do with individual power. Instead, Power builds others up and assists in their growth, because it knows that when any one of us steps firmly into our own power, the success that follows lifts us all.

Power is not always the loudest voice. Quiet power has been the basis for great success and much joy over the centuries. Power knows the best use of silence and of soft words and gentle actions.

Power is not constrictive. Power allows everyone to find their own way, to be different and distinct in what ever fashion suits them, and to applaud the efforts of others even when we don’t understand them. Power is not just tolerant; it’s much more than that. Power allows the wholeness of all that is, and does not feel threatened by the differences between ourselves and others.

Power is not judgmental. Power is open and willing and free. Power not only seeks ways for all good to be felt and displayed, it provides a safe space and welcomes with open arms each of us so that we may thrive.

Power is not about separation. Power recognizes that we are all One, and as such, Power values connection above all else – Connection with Source, Connection with Self, Connection with Others.

Power is not fleeting. Power is steady, constant and ever-present.
